Our warehouse is in Malmi, Helsinki, about a 15-minute drive from the city centre and close to the Vantaa border. Furniture storage, short-term safekeeping during a renovation and longer interim storage are all handled from the same place, and we collect your belongings from the door across the Helsinki region. When you buy the move and storage together, we connect the storage straight into your quote.
Storage for businesses
For companies, we store furniture and equipment at the Malmi warehouse for short or longer periods: during the interim phase of an office move, through a renovation or temporary-premises period, and when the new premises aren’t ready yet. We also handle furniture deliveries — we collect new furniture from the supplier or warehouse, store it if needed and deliver it on the agreed day for installation. Surplus furniture can be routed to storage or recycling.

Interim storage during a move
The most common reason for storage is that the new home isn’t ready yet: a renovation runs long, a sale is delayed, or you’re moving from abroad into temporary housing. We collect your belongings from the old home on moving day, keep them in the warehouse and deliver them to the new home on the agreed day. The per-cubic-metre price is €16.70/m³/month in a large unit and €25/m³/month in a small one — more affordable than most self-storage once transport is included.

Storage – frequently asked questions
How much does storage cost per month?
A large storage unit (6 m³) costs €100/month and a small one (2 m³) €50/month, incl. 25.5% VAT. That works out to €16.70–25 per m³ per month. The contents of a one-bedroom (about 12–14 m³) fit into two large units and one small one, €250/month in total. Pickup and delivery are priced by distance and volume.
Where is Flyto’s warehouse located?
The warehouse is in Malmi, Helsinki, at Ormuspellontie 20, 00700 Helsinki — about a 15-minute drive from the city centre and near Ring Road I. It is warm, dry and monitored. Visits are arranged in advance with customer service.
Can I store my belongings during a move?
Yes. Interim storage is the most common use: we pick up your belongings from the old home, keep them in the warehouse and deliver them to the new home once it is ready. The same team handles both transports, so your items are handled only twice.
What is the minimum storage period and notice period?
Storage is billed monthly. The notice period is at most one calendar month, with no long commitments. You can store for a week during renovation or for a year during an overseas assignment.
What can’t be stored?
You cannot store food, live plants, liquids in open containers, gas cylinders, fuels or other hazardous materials. Fridges and freezers are emptied and dried before storage. When in doubt, ask customer service.
Are stored belongings insured?
Stored belongings are covered by transport insurance during transport (up to €20/kg). For valuable items we recommend additional insurance, which you can get through us based on the value of the goods. Check your own home insurance terms regarding storage as well.
