Additional services – frequently asked questions
How much does packing help cost?
Packing and unpacking help is billed by the hour per professional (incl. 25.5% VAT). Packing a one-bedroom typically takes two packers 3–4 hours. Packing materials and rental boxes are billed separately. Packing is usually done the day before the move.
Can I get the household tax credit for furniture assembly?
Assembling new furniture during a move is deductible household work under the Finnish Tax Administration’s guidance when it is billed separately. Disassembling and reassembling old furniture as part of the move is not. We itemise assembly on its own line so you can claim the credit.
Do you move pianos and grand pianos?
Yes. The piano surcharge is €200 and includes professional moving with the right equipment and protection. Tell us the piano type (upright or grand), the floor and the lift size in your request so we assign a large enough team.
Can you take old furniture to the recycling centre?
Yes. Transport to the recycling centre costs €50 plus the station’s waste fee and includes up to 5 pieces of furniture. In the Helsinki region we use HSY Sortti stations, and local waste stations elsewhere.
Do you install the washing machine in the new home?
Yes. Disconnecting, capping and installing a washing machine costs €80. Any extra parts such as new hoses or connectors are billed separately. For dishwasher installation we quote per case.
